Last week on this blog I talked about 3 ways to end website content confusion.
The aim of the post was to show you how to make sure you and your customers are clear about your products or services and to ensure that customers know how they can benefit from what you are offering.
Some of you have told me that many business owners simply don’t have the time, aptitude or resources to devote to website content improvements.
That’s a fair point.
When I decided to overhaul this blog and website, I knew I didn’t have the skills or time needed to do everything all by myself, and I wanted to make sure I didn’t compromise the end product by doing a poor DIY job.
Hire it done
I decided to look around for a designer/Word Press expert who could do the job. I am glad I made the decision to hire in a professional for two reasons: time and money.
While the designer worked his magic – and put together what I wanted, I was free to get on with what I do best; writing content.
I used my time effectively by channelling my efforts into the work that I needed to focus on and complete.
And this meant that instead of wasting hours trying to design my own website (badly), I was using my working day – for work.
You may be in the same boat that I was in, or be at the thinking stage.
Take a look around this blog and website to get a feel for what I can do.
As this blog is about website content, I will focus on this area of my work.
How I work with you on your website content
Here is a summary of my approach to working with you on your web content:
- Understand your website, products and services
- Understand your customers/customer groups
- Understand the type of website you want to deliver
- Understand your message
Once I’ve completed this first phase, I then:
- Research, (re)write and/or edit your web content
- Tailor your content to meet the needs of your customers
- Make and recommend changes to ensure that your content is consistent and meaningful to your target audience
